Some guidelines to go by while using technology in the classroom:
Only visit APPROVED internet sites.
Keep a poster visible reminding students where they can/can't go.
Never give out personal information.
Never download anything without permission.
Tell your teacher if you see anything inappropriate.
Do not eat or drink near devices.
Put the device on charge while not using it.
Do not change settings without permission.
Do not print without permission.
Handle the keyboard & the mouse pad gently.
How do you make technology rules for your classroom?
1. Work together with your students to discuss the dangers of technology. 2. Write suggested rules on the board for students to vote on them. 3. Have a class day devoted to making posters to go around the room to display the technology rules.
